A town called malice

Article Abstract:

Aboriginal men and women are killing each other at a horrifying rate in Alice Springs, Australia in 2005, but the murders attract no more than the briefest, passing mentions in the local media. There appears to be a terrible inevitability about the violence, with half of the homicides being committed by Aboriginal women who often grow up in an environment where extreme violence is normalized.
