A.I.G. Agrees To Big Payment In U.S. Cases

Insurance company, American International Group Inc., has agreed to allow an independent monitor to look at its books and pay $126 million to settle investigations by the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Justice Department. The agencies had been looking into insurance contracts with PNC Financial Services Group, and Brightpoint Inc.
