Air Canada restructuring ready for take off: Creditors expected to overwhelmingly approve the creation of the revamped airline

Creditors are expected to approve Air Canada's restructuring plan on 17th August 2004 in order to emerge from bankruptcy protection, clearing the way for delisting of the insolvent company's shares and creation of a revamped airline. On approval of the restructuring plan, the creditors are expected to pick up a 45.8-per-cent interest in Air CanadaEs new parent holding company named ACE Aviation Holdings Inc.
