Atlas says profit overstated

Toronto, Ont.-based Atlas Cold Storage Income Trust has reported that it will restate its financial results for 2002. Atlas, which has conducted an investigation of its 2002 earnings, found that its management had deliberately overstated its profits to attract investment.

Air Canada aims to cut 7,800 jobs

Air Canada is planning to lay off 7,800 additional employees over the next three year period. The carrier previously announced 16,000 employee layoffs since it merged with Canadian Airlines in 2000.
