Bombardier plans European expansion

Montreal, Que.-based Bombardier Inc. has announced that it will expand operations in Europe through a strategy of acquisitions or strategic alliances. Bombardier, which will focus on passenger rail car operations in Europe, is led by president and chief executive officer Robert Brown.

Strike grounds Bombardier facility
Article Abstract:
The Canadian Auto Workers strike has shut down a Toronto plant operated by Montreal, Que.-based Bombardier Inc. The CAW workers struck Bombardier's de Havilland aerospace operations, which employs about 6,000 workers.
