CanWest scales back media deal

Article Abstract:

CanWest Global Communications Corp. has renegotiated its acquisitions of publications from Toronto, Ont.-based Hollinger Inc. CanWest, which offered between $3.2 billion and $3.5 billion for the publications, will eliminate two Ontario newspaper and real estate assets from the acquisition agreement.
