Cars drive factory shipments: 1.7-per-cent rise called 'a welcome relief'

An increase in the automotive production activities in Canadian factories leads to a rise of 1.7 percent in shipments to $43 billion. The gains in shipments were widespread as sixteen out of twenty one industry groups showed signs of improvement.

Job creations in Canada have surpassed the expectations for October 2004. Canada's job market gained 34,300 positions and 3,37000 new jobs were added in the US job market against a forecast figure of 1,67,000 by the economists.
