Cartoons in the court; video re-creations stir growing legal controversy
Article Abstract:
Some prosecutors now use forensic computer animation methods to make video re-enactments of crimes, but the procedure remains controversial. Defense attorneys argue that such re-creations, which have thus far been used in fewer than ten cases, are not always factually accurate and are likely to prejudice jurors.
