Australia's major banks are closing their doors to the rank and file and opening banking suites for newly rich and elite clients who create the highest revenues. Private banking seeks customers who have at least $750,000 worth of banking needs. The revenues they create justify pampering by the banks. In addition the clients are also powerful advocates for the bank.
