Colour in birds' eggs: The collections of the Natural History Museum, tring
Article Abstract:
Lack did a vast research and study on the various eggs of the Natural History Museum, tring and specified that the colour of the birds' eggs have no taxonomic significance and is mostly purely dependant and related to their nest size. However, the results prove that Lack's conclusions were completely unreliable and also state that the colour of the eggs might depend on the shell structure, as well as the pigment distribution.
