Cost of flying for business gets cheaper

Article Abstract:

Business travelers are happy with the pricing strategies of low-fare airlines, which have pushed down costs of tickets on many routes. A lot of these low-cost airlines are offering tickets at prices as low as $299 but no one is complaining except large airlines that are facing a hard time trying to match fares and facing competition.

Mesa CEO pursues Atlantic Coast with typical ferocity: Ornstein makes biggest boldest lay yet with hostile takeover bid

The CEO of Mesa Air Group, Jonathan Ornstein has embarked on the hostile takeover of another airline, Atlantic Coast Airline Holdings. Ornstein's Mesa Air Group is one of the top performers in the profitable regional sector of the airline business having revenue of $498 million in 2002.
