A meeting of the Australian Shareholders Association (ASA) will take place in June 2001 amid controversey over the group's disastrous annual meeting in April, at which accusations of abuse of board power led to the attempted dismissal of two sitting directors. The membership of the ASA has more than doubled in the last five years.
