Cults on campus: vulnerable students are easy targets
Article Abstract:
Most recruiting by religious cults takes place on college campuses. Because students are in a period of transition they make easy targets. Recruiters usually flatter the target with lots of attention, give vague details about a group of friends and ultimately pressure them into making a quick decision about the meaning of life. Schools counter with cult-awareness weeks and counseling. The biggest on-campus recruiters are the Unification Church, the Boston Church of Christ and Transcendental Meditation.

Article Abstract:

Critics claim that youth are less able to manage debt than their elders, and many adults are also unable to manage credit card debt. However, Visa USA Inc notes that college students have a high demand for credit cards, and that college students on the average use the cards responsibly.
