Article Abstract:

Mark Latham, in his opening speech to the ALP national conference, expressed the urgent need of 500,000 Australians, who were in the waiting list to get their teeth fixed. This estimate of 500,000 Australians, which was first proposed by Professor John Spencer of the University of Adelaide dental school, was debated as neither Labor nor the Coalition knew how accurate his estimate was.
