Endangered Species Act: States compromise
Article Abstract:
States and private conservation organizations of the US are working on their own to save imperiled plants and animals from becoming extinct, in their push to change the Endangered Species Act (ESA). The grouse program is one of several non-federal conservation efforts where governors are seeking changes to the ESA to help defray some of the costs associated with implementing it.
