Euro hits high, U.S. dollar dips
Article Abstract:
The euro rose against the US dollar beyond the $1.25 (US) level for the first time on 29 December 2003, while the US dollar shed half a per cent versus the yen on security worries and nagging concerns over the US current account deficit. The US current account deficit around five percent of gross domestic product is proving one of the biggest weights on the currency.
