Executives see trouble spreading
Article Abstract:
The high technology industry, particularly the online, software, computer equipment, and semiconductor segments are bracing for a continued slow down. Telecom and consulting firms are also watching for signs of retrenchment. Some executives said that recent investor-sell off had driven stock prices too low. Others said any problems were limited to particular companies, not whole industries. The computer peripherals area was held up as a bright spot. Presently there are stock bargains out there for investors willing to wait for renewed growth, and the stomach for near term uncertainty.
