Fee disclosure is important especially in the cases of annuities and complying pensions as without this disclosure, people may unknowingly divert their Superannuation Guarantee contributions towards more expensive funds, the effects of which will be felt for a long time. Retirees should opt for self-managed superannuation fund (SMSF) and then set up their income stream themselves, which will help in reducing the cost of regular income stream.
