Ford assembly plant wins Power award

Article Abstract:

Ford Motor Co. of Canada Ltd. garnered the gold award in 1998 during the yearly J.D. Power & Associates poll of vehicle quality for North America. Ford banked on the performance of its St. Thomas factory in Ontario, to produce such a performance in the assembly plant quality category. Chrysler Corp. secured its primary Power award for its redesigned 1998 Chrysler Concorde medium-sized sedan from the same survey. That car, which was completely designed by computers, is constructed in the Bramalea assembly plant run by Chrysler Canada Ltd. in Brampton, Ontario.
