Ford Motor Company has reported the federal government that it has to provide a commitment of about $100-million, or risk jeopardizing a $1- billion redevelopment of the automaker's Oakville, Ontario, and operations. The company is seeking money from the federal and provincial governments to turn the Oakville complex into a leading-edge, flexible assembly.
