Automakers prepare onslaught of new SUVs

Article Abstract:

Automakers will introduce more sport-utility vehicle (SUV) models next year despite indications that the market is slowing down. Seven of 47 SUVs on the market will be redesigned while ten more models will be introduced. Automobile executives opine that the SUV will not disappear since its market segment has grown too big. Among the SUVs that are being redesigned are the 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer, Chevrolet Avalance, 2002 Ford Explorer, GMC Envoy, Oldsmobile Bravada, Buick Rendezvous and the Toyota Highlander.
