From jogging to boxing: aerobics grows up
Article Abstract:
The exercise form known as aerobics was invented by Kenneth H. Cooper, an Air Force surgeon. The concept of aerobics was based entirely on a book he published in 1968 which outlines the merits of an exercise which emphasizes the health-giving characteristics of cardiovascular activity. Cooper's work has since been fully endorsed by the medical community for its soundness and effectivity. Since its conception, aerobics has taken on many different forms the latest of which is a variant which involves boxing.
