Green dreams: chain ownership promises to shake up Canada's golf courses

Currently only about 200 of the 2,000 golf courses in Canada are operated by chains, but that may change fairly quickly. ClubLink Corp, Eaglequest Golf Centers and Granite Gold Group Inc are all pursuing an aggressive acquisition strategy. They believe the golf market will continue to expand.

El Nino's angry year

Article Abstract:

Meteorologists think that El Nino current, which is centered in the Pacific Ocean, causes droughts and floods in climate systems around the world. Both Africa and Canada suffered droughts and crop damage in 1991. Researchers hope to find ways to predict the arrival of the current.
