Gunn fight: At the old-growth corral

Article Abstract:

Politics will play an important role in determining the size of profitability of Tasmanian forestry giant, Gunns, in the future and the performance of this company with the new government in place is discussed. Gunns, a $700 million company, which is criticized for spoiling the high conservation forest areas of Tasmania, is seeing a steady increase in its share prices. The prices dipped during the election campaign but with Howard's victory, people at Gunns are confident that the new government's policy will not impede Gunn's progress.

Article Abstract:

The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) states that the top marginal tax rate affects low-income level workers, which may harm work incentives and discourage skill acquisition.
