HONG KONG: PRIVATE HOSPITAL TRAINS SPECIALISTS

The Hong Kong Sanatorium Hospital will ally with the Academy of Medicine to train specialists for future service in public hospital. In this new trial scheme which involves private hospital, two specialists from the Sanatorium Hospital will train six doctors from the Academy. The Academy runs 15 colleges for specialists. These trained specailists will serve in public hospitals later.

HONG KONG: CABLE TV LOST BROADCASTING RIGHT
Article Abstract:
Cable TV has lost the broadcasting right to show the English FA Cup. The blow will hurt Cable TV and also bars which expect to see businesses decline by 20% as a result of lost business. Cable TV has been broadcasting the English FA Cup for the past six years.

HONG KONG: EUROCHRISTMAS ATTRACTS 500,000 PEOPLE

The EuroChristmas held at the Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wanchai has attracted about 500,000 people to visit by 23 December 2000. One of the events - Winter Magic dome -, sponsored by Coca-Cola for HK$ 13mn, was the most popular at the EuroChristmas.
