McDonald's won its libel suit in the longest trial in British history, when a London judge ruled that a local Greenpeace group slandered the company in its leaflets. Still, the case was very damaging to McDonald's, as many embarrassing revelations of its corporate practices came to light.

Americans seem to passively accept the violence that accompanies lax handgun regulations. Despite the fact that handguns account for 155 times as many deaths in the US as Canada, Americans will not take regulatory action to prevent these deaths.
