High-tech tag teams run show
Article Abstract:
More high-technology firms in Canada are being run under a non-traditional, power-sharing management structure. Under this management concept, power is shared between two or more individuals with no one individual dominant over the others. This looser structure results in a more nimble company flexible enough to adapt to the fast-changing high-tech industry. Companies of this nature usually also have a clear goal to be big, dominant players. A critic, however, says power-sharing arrangements can lead to chaos and lack of accountability.
