Are Hillary Rodham Clinton's views on children's issues anti-family and out of the mainstream?
Article Abstract:
Some believe that Hillary Clinton's views on children's issues are anti-family, while others do not. Those who do not agree with her believe that if children are given adult status they will be taken advantage of by 'outsiders' and self-appointed 'allies.' They believe that the most effective safeguard against government abuse is the family and the church. Those who side with Clinton think her views should be given even exposure so that people will realize that she is pro-family. She has addressed the limits of the judicial process in meeting the needs of children and proscribing social arrangements.

The 'Hillary' debate
Article Abstract:
Hillary Clinton's views on children's rights have been used by conservative politicians to discredit Bill Clinton's Democratic presidential candidacy. George Bush and Republican party Chmn Richard Bond have both stated that Hillary Clinton would encourage children to sue their parents. The debate has focused on Clinton's more liberal child policies and ignored her more traditional ideas on children's responsibility and family values. The Gregory K. custody case was cited as an example of minor-initiated litigation.
