Gulf Canada oil sands project approved

Calgary, Alb.-based Gulf Canada Resources Ltd. has received approval from the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board for its oil sands project. Gulf Canada will move forward with the $1.1 billion oil sands project in northern Alberta.

Syncrude adds cash to oil sands expansion

Syncrude Canada Ltd. will spend an additional 400 million Canadian dollars on its oil sands project in Alberta. The money will be used for sulphur dioxide emissions equipment.
