IDA bans former Scotia star for life

One of Scotia Capital Inc.'s former top traders, Steven White, has been banned for life by securities regulators. Mr. White, who also must pay almost $60,000 in fines, was criticized for failing to cooperate with an investigation by the Investment Dealers Association of Canada over his trading practices.
