Icahn plans to clean house

Article Abstract:

Carl Icahn's, U.S. investor, plans to replace the entire board of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts Inc. if successful with $1.19-billion bid to gain control of the hotelier is discussed. He plans to sell the company to larger hotel operator and Fairmont has until Dec. 22 to respond to the cash offer filed by Mr. Icahn.

Bill to protect trust investors in limbo

The legislature in Ontario, Canada has yet to pass an income trusts bill that would provide protection for investors. The bill could collapse upon the calling of a provincial election.
