Article Abstract:

The Australian submarine called the AE2 was found by Turkish museum director Selcuk Kolay on the bottom of the Sea of Marmara where it sank in 1915. The issue being debated is who owns the relic and whether it should be displayed in Turkey or Australia after recovery. Despite nationalist sentiments and commercial interests, the future of Turkish-Australian relations is in jeopardy.

3G, or third-generation mobile, is the mobile telephony technology that follows analog and digital mobile, and Australia is gambling on its success. Despite the monumental costs of getting 3G up and running in Europe, Australia is going ahead with introducing the technology, and some critics such as Australia's Treasurer Peter Costello are nervous.
