JDS cuts Ottawa jobs after another loss
Article Abstract:
Jozef Straus, the chief executive officer of JDS Uniphase Corp., announced that the optical network equipment manufacturer would cut back hundreds of workers at its Ottawa operations. JDS, which once employed about 10,000 workers in Ottawa, has suffered sixteen consecutive quarters of losses.
