Around 1,200 delegates are expected to attend the Progressive Conservative Party's policy conference in Winnipeg, Manitoba, from Aug 22-25, 1996. Charest hopes to revitalize the party by stressing its differences with the Liberal Party and focusing on issues such as unemployment insurance.
