Kodak hires former Lucent exec as second in command

Eastman Kodak has named Patricia Russo as its new president and chief operating officer. Russo was previously with Lucent Technologies where she is credited with helping the telecommunications equipment seller to move from voice to data networks. She will replace Daniel Carp who remains chairman and CEO. Russo's hiring comes as Kodak, with roots in the 19th century, struggles to redefine itself as a technology leader.
