Little guy Cognos nears big time: Tech firm is hiring new staff, finishing takeover and enjoying record results

The Cognos Inc., one of Canada's largest independent technology firms is hiring dozens of sales and service staff, completed with the takeover of a major European project and is also producing better quarterly results. The profit increased by 52 percent to $27.6-million (U.S) whereas the revenue increased by 17 percent to $185.2-million.
