Profits are music to BMG boss's ears
Article Abstract:
BMG Music Canada posted a 22% growth in profits for the FY ended June 30, 1999. The company claims a 10% market share of the C$1.4 billion in Canadian retail music sales. BMG Music attributed the profits to its success in tapping new music trends like urban music, which made up for the declining sales in country music. The company has reported double-digit profit growth in the past few years.
