Lost in space: a mission to Mars turns into a costly fiasco
Article Abstract:
NASA lost communication with the $1.28 billion Mars Observer spacecraft just three days before the craft was due to begin orbiting Mars. It will be difficult for NASA to get funding for other projects because it has suffered several spacecraft failures.
