Article Abstract:

One-time Australian soldier and patriot Mathew Stewart seems to be the Kalashnikov-wielding, masked figure who appeared in a 2005 terrorist video broadcast on Arab television, urging the US and Britain to withdraw troops from Iraq. If the terrorist is indeed Stewart, the Australian Defense Force (ADF) will have to delve deep into the murky manner in which it treats its psychiatrically and emotionally disturbed veterans of recent peacekeeping missions.

Article Abstract:

Mohammed Omran, who lives in the Melbourne suburb of North Coburg, Australia, is reported to have connections with al Qaeda. He denies his contacts with Abu Dahdah, operator of al Qaeda's and an associate of Mohammed Atta, the key figure in the September 11 attacks and states that though he may not be an Australian by birth he has to protect the country.

Article Abstract:

The common characters of Jack Thomas and Davis Hicks, the two Australians accused of training with terrorists in Afghanistan, are presented. They were trained in Afghanistan with al Qaeda, and both have been interrogated and held indefinitely without any charge.
