Mackenzie plans foray into Europe

Mackenzie Financial Corp., a mutual fund management company, is considering plans to forge strategic alliances with investment firms in Europe in an effort to expand into the region. The company has also expressed its intention to pursue an acquisition-driven growth strategy to fuel the expansion. The move reflects the efforts of the firm to become a financial services provider for the international community, according to James Hunter, chief executive officer and president of Mackenzie Financial Corp.
