Mohamed and the mirror
Article Abstract:
Piers Morgan, editor of the tabloid newspaper The Mirror, is the only news interviewer Trevor Rees-Jones, survivor of the Princess Diana accident, is talking to. Mohamed Al Fayed, the father of Dodi Al Fayed, who died in the accident with the princess, is Rees-Jones's employer. On the first day of serialization, the story made Mirror sales go up by 400,000. Every newspaper wanted the story, and most asked for it according to Morgan. Details coming out support the version of events promoted by Al Fayed, but it is unlikely that the Rees-Jones story is another Al Fayed attempt to put a spin on the news.
