US miner digs Canada's prospects
Article Abstract:
Zemex Corp. plans to move to the highly knowledgeable mining community of Canada in an effort to boost its stock and acquisition potential. Company President and Chief Executive Richard Lister hopes to get the attention of mining analysts and give the company's falling stock a boost by establishing a new company and listing it on the Toronto Stock Exchange. The money generated from the stock offering could then be spent to seek acquisitions. The Delaware-based mining company remains keen on pursuing other acquisitions even after the collapse of its C$515-million takeover bid for Inmet Mining Corp.
