Nike makes numbered shoe size vanish with Air Presto

Athletic company Nike Inc has unveiled its unisex running shoe, Air Presto, that comes in 13 colors and six sizes. The running shoe, which has a suggested retail price of $85, is made of stretch mesh that allows it to provide a sock-like, ultracomfortable fit for a variety of foot shapes and sizes. With Air Presto, Nike has departed from the traditional numbered sizing and has instead used the sizes, XXS, XS, S, M,L and XL.

Nike jumps to show off shoe

Nike is introducing high-tech shoes called Nike Shox. The product feature spring-like columns in hte heels made from resilient foam similar to that used in formula One race cars' nose pieces. The mechanism generates a trampoline-style effect. Nike hopes that Nike Shox would energize the flat $7.6-billion sneaker market. The shoe is targeted at the 14-year-old sneaker connoisseurs and is priced at $150.
