Lebanon was the most predictable site for a 'people power' movement to surface due to the assassination of a former Prime Minister, Rafik Hariri who was killed by a bomb on February 14, 2005. This killing sparked demonstrations and the Lebanese blamed and demanded a Syrian pullout.
