Wireless Internet company stocks are the sweetheart deals of the moment, from Gartner Group to Nokia A.D.R. Yet, though cell phones and other mobile devices can now access the Internet, the technology is still quite young. Wall Street is also bullish on wireless application software companies, where the technology is again years behind the potential. Still, mobile phone equipment makers have enjoyed enthusiasm via soaring shares.

Cabletron is preparing to divide and conquer

Cabletron Systems is planning split up its operations into four parts and then sell 20% stakes in each during the next year and a half. This way the company will grow 30% a year instead of only 4 or 6%.
