Australia in 1998 survived the Asian meltdown and 1999 is shaping as the year of funds of funds. It is estimated that by the end of the year, the funds of funds will generate as much as $700 mil. The aim of venture-capital expansion equity and management buyouts is to acquire small and medium-sized companies that can float on stock exchange or be sold to big corporations.

Issues relating to the importance of the delivery process is discussed, with particular reference to e-commerce. Delivery expenditure represents the largest overhead in the e-tail business, yet it is one of the most under-resourced factors. The biggest delivery problems are in North America's vehicle industry.
