An analysis of Australian telecommunications company Telstra is presented, discussing the booming profits which are likely from competitive Singaporean SingTel's $17bn purchase of Optus. Telstra's chairman Ziggy Switkowski can now enjoy the benefits of a benign competitive market and previous cost cutting initiatives.
