Rand may gain from Parametric woes
Article Abstract:
Rand A Technology Corp.,a Mississauga, Ontario-based computer engineering software distributor, is likely to benefit from Parametric Technology Corp.'s inability to meet expectations on its third-quarter earnings. Rand Chief Executive Officer Brian Semkiw said Waltham, MA-based Parametric could keep its profit margins by engaging resellers and distributors to have more active participation in the company's business, thereby, servicing the market at lower cost. Parametric has to re-configure its business model and aggressively engage resellers. Rand generates half of its revenue by reselling products and services for Parametric, the leading manufacturer of computer-engineering software in the world.
