Smith & Wesson promotes gun ethics
Article Abstract:
Smith & Wesson Corp is requesting its 3,500 storefront retailers to implement a 'code of responsible business practices.' The code will require dealers not to sell to a 'straw purchaser,' a person who buy guns for others prohibited from owning guns. Smith & Wesson spokesman Ken Jorgensen said that three-quarters of their dealers have agreed to implement the code. Other gun firms have indicated their willingness to help prevent the illegal sale of firearms.
