Rail trails provide the best tracks for bicyclists around the world. They began in the US, but rail trails are becoming a world wide movement. Beside their recreational aspects, rail trails bring much business to towns because cyclists often need food, water, lodging, clothes, equipment, and transportation to bring them back home.

Bayeux beware: homage via tapestry to MCG greats
Article Abstract:
The official of Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on its 150th birthday in September came up with a brilliant idea, a famous tapestry of Bayeux. It has been treated so that it will last thousands of years, and a special 8m-long box, like a great coffin, is under construction, so that the tapestry can go on tour around Australia.

The exhibits contained in the Melbourne Museum in Victoria which is due to open in 2000 are described. The museum has been designed by architect John Denton at a cost of 290 million Australian dollars.
